App Builder for Non-Developers: From Idea to Live Demo

Sep 28, 2:00 – 3:00 PM (UTC)

Every Commerce project has “small” ideas that never ship: a product finder, an SEO landing page generator, AI alt tags for the media library. They stall because each one needs a developer, a sprint, and a deploy window.

Adobe App Builder plus AI-assisted development changes that. App Builder is Adobe’s serverless extensibility layer: apps run on I/O Runtime, plug into Commerce and the Experience Cloud shell, and come with stage and production environments — no servers, no hosting ticket.

We’ll walk the path live: what App Builder is and where it sits; setup on your laptop; describing an app in plain language and letting an AI assistant build it; deploying to a shareable URL. Then the honest part — timeouts, payload limits, where data may live (EU vs US), and when you still need an engineer.

You’ll leave able to demo a working prototype yourself — a better client conversation than a slide deck.

For: Consultants, product owners, architects, PMs, designers. Developers welcome.

Takeaways: What App Builder can and cannot do, a repeatable setup, a prompt-to-prototype workflow, and what separates a demo from production.

Prerequisites: None to attend. To follow later: laptop, Adobe sandbox, AI coding assistant (e.g. Cursor).
